Strange pains in chest and shoulders

For the past few months I have had brief random pains in various places around my chest. Some pains have also been in my shoulders, and even my arm pits.

The pains are mild and don’t seem to be related to activity or heart burn. If anything they feel kind of like mild cramps.

Anyone have any ideas what it could be?

Obviously any chest pains can be a serious warning sign. You should consult your doctor immediately.

But when you do, you should ask about Thoracic Outlet Syndrome.

More info about Thoracic Outlet Syndrome:

I had strange random pains on the left, right, and center of my chest that would come and go and seemed to be unrelated to activity. My doctor said it was not heart related and most likely Costochondritis.

I wasn’t satisfied with that diagnosis so I did a lot of research found information about TOS (Thoracic Outlet Syndrome).

The symptoms matched perfectly, so I started doing some physical therapy stretches for it and within a few days it got better.

I still have it sometimes, but only when I slack off on doing the stretches.

You can find instructions on how to do the stretches here:

Please note that I am not a doctor and not qualified to make any diagnosis. You should always consult your doctor first for medical advice.
